LH to Start Applications for 4,197 Happy Housing Units from the 12th Perspective view of Yangju Hoecheon Happy Housing / Provided by LH.

[Asia Economy Reporter Kangwook Cho] Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) announced on the 11th that subscription applications for the integrated recruitment of Happy Housing for the third quarter of this year will begin on the 12th.

'Happy Housing' is rental housing supplied to young people such as university students, youth, and newlyweds to serve as a housing ladder for social advancement. Eligibility for each type, income, and asset criteria must be met to move in.

The supply targets include 1,124 units in five metropolitan areas such as Seoul Beondong 3 (168 units) and 3,073 units in 11 local areas such as Daejeon Yongmun (80 units), totaling 4,197 units across 16 districts nationwide.

In particular, this time, according to the government's 'Newlywed and Youth Housing Support Plan,' Newlywed Hope Town Happy Housing will be supplied in four districts for newlywed couples.

Yangju Hoecheon A17 Block (254 units) is within a 5-minute walk to Deokgye Station on Subway Line 1, and the GTX-C line is scheduled to be newly established nearby, providing excellent transportation conditions. It is also located within walking distance to elementary, middle, and high schools, and is surrounded by green environments such as Bulgosan, Deokgyecheon, and Gojangsan forest bathing areas.

Paju Wa-dong A1 Block (144 units) has abundant wide-area transportation networks including the Seoul-Munsan Expressway, Unjeong Station (Gyeongui-Jungang Line), and the upcoming GTX-A line. Additionally, childcare and parenting facilities reflecting newlywed couples' preferences, such as a comprehensive childcare center, library, and daycare center, will be established within the complex.

Furthermore, Asan Tangjeong 2 A-2 Block (354 units) and Yangsan Sasong A-1 Block (396 units) will be equipped with enhanced storage spaces for newlywed couples, home network systems, indoor ventilation systems, and 100% underground parking design.

Job-linked Happy Housing for young entrepreneurs and industrial complex workers will also be supplied in two districts: Incheon Nonhyeon 4 and Namwon Noam.

Incheon Nonhyeon 4 (238 units) is a startup support housing that provides stable residential space and startup support facilities for young entrepreneurs, including independent offices, co-working spaces, and seminar rooms. Subscription applications are available for young (prospective) entrepreneurs aged 19-39 who are members of a non-homeowner household (or non-homeowners if single) recognized by the mayor of Namdong-gu, Incheon.

Namwon Noam (120 units), an industrial complex-type Happy Housing, is supplied near Eohyeon Industrial Complex, Gwangchi 1 Industrial Complex, and Noam 1-3 Industrial Complexes, and is preferentially supplied to industrial complex workers who are members of non-homeowner households (or non-homeowners if single).

An LH official said, "LH will actively expand the supply of Newlywed Hope Town Happy Housing for newlywed couples and continue efforts to stabilize housing for youth through demand-tailored housing supply such as job-linked Happy Housing for entrepreneurs and industrial complex workers."
