"Was Investigating Hwacheondaeyu and Also Gathering Information"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Juhyung] YouTuber and former journalist Kim Yongho announced that he is currently investigating Lee Jae-myung, the governor of Gyeonggi Province who was selected as the Democratic Party's presidential candidate.
On the 10th, Kim said on his YouTube channel 'Yeonyeobu Jang' live broadcast, "The reason I turned on the broadcast today is because many people around me were worried," adding, "This is a survival report. I am alive. Right now, I am in New York, USA."
He continued, "I am watching the news while in New York. Not just watching, but investigating and gathering information," and added, "I have known various information about Lee Jae-myung for some time. When the Hwacheon Daeyu incident first occurred and people asked what it was, I was already investigating and collecting information."
Kim said, "I told lawyer Kang Yongseok, 'The Hwacheon Daeyu incident will eventually send Lee Jae-myung to prison,'" and claimed, "This is not a sudden incident; it has been simmering for a year."
He then stated, "There are many situations to resolve when I return to Korea, but this is a presidential election situation," and added, "I have accepted the painful criticism from those around me that not broadcasting and resting would be neglect of duty, so I plan to fulfill my role. Please look forward to it. I will see you in Korea," signaling his return to broadcasting.

On the same day, Governor Lee was officially confirmed as the Democratic Party's 20th presidential election candidate. In the afternoon, he mentioned the allegations of preferential treatment in the Daejang-dong development in Seongnam at the SK Handball Stadium in Olympic Park, Seoul.
He referred to the development profits recovered from Daejang-dong during his tenure as mayor of Seongnam, saying, "Isn't it something to praise Lee Jae-myung for? The development profits recovered from Daejang-dong are three times more than the total amount recovered from all urban development projects nationwide over the past 21 years."
He added, "How is it my fault that the private share increased due to the surge in housing prices after I resigned as mayor of Seongnam?" and said, "The people are a collective intelligence with one hundred million eyes and ears and fifty million mouths. They are not foolish enough to be deceived by fake news and false agitation."
Regarding the allegations related to Hwacheon Daeyu Asset Management (Hwacheon Daeyu), the construction company for the Daejang-dong development project, he defined it as the "People Power Party Hwacheon Daeyu Gate," emphasizing, "If illegal acts such as bribery are detected during the project, we will recover all development profits afterward to eradicate unjust unearned income falling into the hands of a few."
