[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] LG Display announced on the 11th that it will hold the '2021 Tech Forum' online from the 12th to the 15th, inviting 23 major domestic and international partners with world-class competitiveness in various fields of display materials and components, including Merck, UDC, and Dongjin Semichem.

Marking its 10th anniversary this year, LG Display plans to introduce changes and evolution in displays after COVID-19, securing product competitiveness, and research and development (R&D) strategies and visions for technological innovation at this Tech Forum, while establishing a system for success together with key partners.

In particular, the company will share mid- to long-term technology roadmaps for large organic light-emitting diode (OLED) and plastic OLED (P-OLED), as well as future display R&D strategies, aiming to further strengthen partnerships related to future core technologies with major partners.

This Tech Forum will be conducted online in a non-face-to-face manner due to COVID-19. During the forum, LG Display will publish the 'Tech Forum Webzine' to help enhance the global manufacturing competitiveness of its key partners.

Yoon Soo-young, Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of LG Display, said, "The future of displays lies in technology and design innovation that surpasses limits," adding, "We will strengthen R&D competitiveness with key partners and firmly establish a virtuous cycle of exchange and strategic cooperative relationships for mutual growth."
