[Asia Economy Reporter Park Soyeon] At around 6:48 a.m. on the 11th (Korean time), a magnitude 6.1 earthquake occurred 29 km south of Hawaii Island, USA, according to the Korea Meteorological Administration citing foreign observation agencies.
The epicenter was at 18.80 degrees north latitude and 155.53 degrees west longitude, with a depth of 17 km.
US authorities did not issue a tsunami warning following the earthquake.
