Angel-in-us Opens 'LAB1004'

[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon] Lotte GRS's Angel-in-us announced on the 10th that it will open 'LAB1004' on the 13th, a space where new products are developed while directly observing consumer reactions.

According to Lotte GRS, LAB1004 is located on the first floor of the headquarters building in Doksan-dong, Geumcheon-gu, Seoul. The name is characterized by a combination of the English abbreviation for laboratory and the angel image of Angel-in-us.

LAB1004 is used as a space to continuously experiment with coffee bean blending ratios, roasting methods, and more to develop new products and conduct tests to verify product quality. It is available not only to Lotte employees but also to general customers.

The large store, approximately 100 pyeong in size, is designed with a drip zone concept for making drip coffee. There is a roaster next to the store.

In addition to the coffee beans previously sold, LAB1004 plans to sell four specialty coffee beans developed in advance. Going forward, the supply of coffee beans will be expanded nationwide, including direct management stores in the metropolitan area such as Hongdae in Seoul and Suwon Rodeo. First, the roaster operation method will be established mainly in direct management stores, and next year, there are plans to expand franchise stores.
