Disney Plus (+), which is set to launch its domestic service on the 12th of next month, will promote its original series in a similar format. On the 14th, it will hold an online Korea Media Day and APAC Content Showcase. Key stakeholders will appear to introduce the Disney+ service and domestic business strategies, as well as reveal the content lineup. The domestic titles include four series: 'Moving,' 'Grid,' 'Police University,' and 'Kiss Sixth Sense.' Production teams and actors will participate as panelists to share production intentions and filming episodes.
'Moving' is an action fantasy hero story about a family with innate superpowers who confront a great enemy across eras and generations. Studio&New adapted Kang Full's webtoon of the same name into a drama. The showcase will feature lead actors Jo In-sung, Han Hyo-joo, and Ryu Seung-ryong, along with Kang Full and director Park In-je. Originally known as 'Zero,' 'Grid' is a drama combining sci-fi and chase thriller elements. Lee Soo-yeon, the writer of the 'Stranger' series, penned the script, and director Lee Kwon, known for the film 'The Divine Move: The Wrathful,' directed it. The stage will include lead actors Seo Kang-joon, Kim Ah-joong, and Lee Si-young.
'Police University' is a campus drama set at the Korean National Police University. Written by Lee Ha-na, who won a terrestrial network script contest, and directed by Kim Byung-soo, known for 'A Korean Odyssey' and 'He Is Psychometric.' The showcase will be attended by lead actors Kang Daniel and Chae Soo-bin. 'Kiss Sixth Sense' is a drama about a woman who can see the future through kisses and what happens after she kisses her boss on the neck. Lead actors Yoon Kye-sang, Kim Ji-seok, and Seo Ji-hye will appear to explain the production process and more.
