"Fruition after two years."
This is the ‘T22 Wedge (photo)’ from Korea Mizuno. According to the manufacturer, it "reflects feedback from players on the U.S. Professional Golfers' Association (PGA) Tour." It offers seven loft specifications and four grind options. The head material uses ‘1025 boron steel,’ increasing rigidity by about 30%, which enhances the durability of the grooves. This is the driving force behind the extended groove lifespan and excellent spin performance across various course conditions.
The top edge has a large portion removed to create a more compact blade shape. Meanwhile, the part wrapping around the neck is made wider to provide visual stability at address. It employs ‘Hydroflow Micro Grooves’ to deliver consistent shots. The face surface is made slightly rougher to increase spin. The ‘Quad Cut Groove’ technology also boasts optimal ball spin at impact. It will be available at official dealers starting from the 15th.
