30% Reduction in Plastic Usage, Recyclable with Single PP Material Classification
Plans to Expand Application to Delivery Soup Containers, Sealing Containers, and Steaming Containers

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heeyoon] Packaging material specialist SR Technopack announced on the 5th that its delivery container material, 'white PP sheet,' has obtained the Environmental Label certification from the Korea Environmental Industry & Technology Institute.
The Environmental Label certification is awarded to products that demonstrate superior eco-friendliness compared to other products of the same purpose, contributing to resource conservation and reduction of environmental pollution. It is a Ministry of Environment-certified certification system that provides consumers with environmental information by displaying the environmental label on the product.
The white PP sheet from SR Technopack, which received the certification, reduced the use of conventional plastic raw materials by 30% by recycling scrap before use. In particular, plastic products made from the white PP sheet are classified as single-material PP, offering the advantage of a high recycling rate after use.
Scrap consists of recyclable materials remaining from product manufacturing. SR Technopack enhances safety through excellent quality control by selecting only food-grade raw materials that are not harmful to consumer health from the scrap. Additionally, the use of scrap contributes to revitalizing the circular economy.
SR Technopack's white PP sheet is currently planned to be applied to delivery soup containers manufactured and produced through an OEM method. After additional testing, it will be expanded to sealing containers and steaming containers.
