[Asia Economy Reporter Hyungsoo Park] L&K Biomed, a developer of spinal implants, announced on the 4th that it has decided to discuss technical cooperation and advisory collaboration related to new product development with Dr. Tuan Bui MD, an authority in the field of spinal implants.
Dr. Tuan Bui is the Chief Medical Officer and Professor of Orthopedics at Northside Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. He visited Korea for a business agreement with L&K Biomed. As an expert in spinal surgery, he specializes in Posterior Lumbar Interbody Fusion (PLIF) and Lateral Lumbar Interbody Fusion (LLIF) surgeries and has been selected as the "best doctor" by patients. He is a Vietnamese-American and the founder of the Atlanta Spine Society (ASS).
Dr. Tuan Bui will engage in broad cooperation with L&K Biomed, including reviewing new product development, providing feedback for existing product improvements, and advising on future spinal market prospects.
During his 10-day visit, Dr. Tuan Bui and his team will visit L&K Biomed’s knee joint subsidiary Rootloc for product demonstrations, hold review meetings on key products, and tour the Yongin factory. Additionally, they will hold meetings to discuss spinal implant product development and technology with prominent domestic spinal surgery specialists. They also plan to share and learn various surgical experience know-how.
A company official explained, "We expect that Dr. Tuan Bui, who has performed many surgeries using L&K Biomed products, will enable strategic cooperation including advisory support for new product development during his visit to Korea."
