According to Gwangju Metropolitan City on the 2nd, as of 2 p.m. on the same day, 18 people in the Gwangju area were confirmed positive for COVID-19 and were classified as Gwangju cases 5043 to 5060.

There are 2 cases related to foreigner testing in Gwangsan-gu, 1 case related to an administrative order on employment agencies, 4 cases related to previously confirmed cases, 7 cases related to confirmed cases from other cities and provinces such as Jeonnam and Gwangmyeong, and 4 symptomatic cases under investigation.

The confirmed cases related to foreigner testing in Gwangsan-gu and the administrative order on employment agencies are all foreigners, and the infection was confirmed through close contact testing and the administrative order on employment agencies.

Among the 4 cases related to previously confirmed cases, infections occurred among coworkers and family members.
