[Asia Economy Reporter Kwon Seoyoung] Kim Uigyeom, a member of the Open Democratic Party, partially retracted and apologized for his previous allegations related to Yoon Seokyeol, the People Power Party's presidential candidate and former Prosecutor General.
On the 1st, Kim posted a message titled "Correction" on his Facebook. He began by saying, "Yesterday morning, I appeared on MBC Radio's 'Kim Jongbae's Focus' and there were two incorrect statements I made that I would like to correct."

Previously, Kim raised suspicions on the broadcast regarding Yoon Ki-joong, Yoon Seokyeol's father and Honorary Professor at Yonsei University, selling a detached house to the sister of Kim Man-bae, the largest shareholder of Hwacheon Daeyu. He questioned, "Isn't this strange?" and stated, "The down payment was made in May and the balance payment in July. However, the ownership was transferred earlier in April." However, on this day, Kim corrected on his Facebook post that "the ownership of Professor Yoon's house was transferred on July 2nd, after the full payment was made."
Additionally, regarding Kim's previous statement that "Yoon Seokyeol, during his tenure as Chief Prosecutor of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office, disclosed assets jointly with his father rather than as independent livelihood," he corrected it by stating, "At the time of public disclosure of assets by public officials, Yoon Seokyeol's parents' assets were not disclosed due to the reason of independent livelihood." He concluded the post by saying, "I caused confusion due to a factual error and sincerely apologize to Yoon Seokyeol and Professor Yoon."
