[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Yuri] Shinsegae Duty Free announced on the 1st that it will hold a non-face-to-face online performance, 'Heart Concert,' on the 15th. This marks the conclusion of the support project for the developmentally disabled 'Heart Heart Orchestra' in collaboration with the Seocho Cultural Foundation.
Since August, Shinsegae Duty Free has been cooperating with the Seocho Cultural Foundation to provide education that helps the developmentally disabled members of the Heart Heart Orchestra build their musical capabilities. The members completed a total of four sessions of the Seocho Music Academy education from August to September.
The support project will conclude with the non-face-to-face performance 'Heart Concert,' prepared together by the Heart Heart Orchestra members and the Seocho Symphony Orchestra led by Artistic Director Bae Jong-hoon. The performance video will be released on the official YouTube channel of the Seocho Cultural Foundation at 7:30 PM on the 15th.
This performance will feature famous pieces such as Sarasate's Carmen Fantasy, Mozart's Horn Concerto, Bruch's Violin Concerto, David's Trombone Concerto, Lalo's Cello Concerto, and Arban's Carnival of Venice.
A Shinsegae Duty Free official said, "This orchestra support project is expected to have strengthened the musical capabilities of developmentally disabled individuals and positively improved society's perception of people with disabilities. We will continue to strengthen support in the cultural and artistic fields rather than making it a one-time effort."
Meanwhile, in addition to supporting the Heart Heart Orchestra project, Shinsegae Duty Free is carrying out social contribution activities for the development of cultural and artistic projects and community coexistence, including support for classical talent development projects, scholarship programs for descendants of war veterans, and donation of dedicated washing machines for fireproof suits to the Jungbu Fire Station.
