[Asia Economy Reporter Na Ye-eun] Lee Jun-seok, leader of the People Power Party, mentioned the '50 Billion Won Promise Club' of 'Hwacheon Daeyu,' which led the Daejang-dong development, stating that there are four people, including the son of Assemblyman Kwak Sang-do.

On the 30th, Lee held an emergency press conference at the National Assembly and said, "The private intelligence report I saw included a list of four people," adding, "There were also figures who had close ties with the Democratic Party and Gyeonggi Province Governor Lee Jae-myung."

Earlier, according to SBS, a key figure from 'Cheonhwa Dongin,' an affiliate of Hwacheon Daeyu, revealed, "Hwacheon Daeyu promised to provide profits to those who helped advance the project, and they call them the '50 Billion Won Promise Group.'"

Regarding the list of four people, Lee said, "It is true that Assemblyman Kwak's son's name was on the list, but the amount does not seem to match what was reported in the media," adding, "It is inappropriate to name those individuals as the information has not yet been verified. To verify such a list, a special prosecutor investigation must be conducted promptly."

On the same day (30th), Yoon Ho-jung, floor leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, launched an offensive at the policy coordination meeting held at the National Assembly, saying, "The more you dig, the more only opposition party figures appear in Hwacheon Daeyu's magic."

He also pointed out that the sister of Kim Man-bae, the major shareholder of 'Hwacheon Daeyu,' purchased a house in Yeonhui-dong owned by the father of former Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol, stating, "This is a People Power Party gate and a legal corruption cartel; the 'Hwacheon Daeyu People Power Party gate' will reveal the truth about candidate Yoon."

Lee demanded, addressing Floor Leader Yoon, "Yoon Ho-jung of the Democratic Party suggested that there are more People Power Party figures involved. If he has a different version of the list from what I have seen, he should release it promptly."

Regarding the recorded statements submitted to the prosecution by Jung Young-hak, who participated in the design of the Daejang-dong development project, Lee said, "Our party's special committee has received various reports, and I understand they are extensive," adding, "We need to quickly identify who the subjects of the conversations in the recordings are so that we can verify additional facts."

Meanwhile, Lee criticized Gyeonggi Province Governor Lee Jae-myung, saying, "Once you tear off the mask of Governor Lee playing king, you see a trickster," adding, "It is an abnormal world where a trickster acts as if he were a king."
