GS Retail Donates Masks and Blood Donation Certificates to Leukemia Pediatric Cancer Association

On the 28th, GS Retail donated approximately 13,000 masks and 1,000 blood donation certificates to the Leukemia Pediatric Cancer Association.

[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] GS Retail announced on the 29th that it donated about 13,000 masks and approximately 1,000 blood donation certificates received through blood donation activities to the Korea Leukemia Pediatric Cancer Association using the proceeds from the sale of sharing products by its employees.

GS Retail visited the Korea Leukemia Pediatric Cancer Association, a non-profit organization located in Yeonnam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul, the day before to carry out sharing activities. The donated products were prepared with the proceeds from the sale of items collected by GS Retail employees from May last year to June this year through an internal online donation marketplace.

GS Retail plans to continuously plan various untact sharing activities in an environment where face-to-face volunteering is difficult due to COVID-19, in order to better convey the meaning of love and service.

A GS Retail official said, “We are pleased to prepare necessary items for patients in consultation with the Leukemia Pediatric Cancer Association using funds raised through the voluntary participation of employees in the Love Online Donation Marketplace,” and added, “We will continue social activities to help neighbors in difficult circumstances.”
