Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education, Workshop for Young Teachers on 'Finding the Path to Innovative Education'

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jun-kyung] Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education announced on the 28th that it held the ‘Finding the Path to Innovative Education Workshop’ for about 40 young teachers at Boseong Davichi Condo.

This workshop was organized for teachers working at innovative schools or those interested in school innovation and active in various regions, providing a place to share their situations, discuss concerns experienced in the field, and seek solutions.

The workshop began with a presentation by the Jeonnam Innovative School Support Center within the Provincial Office of Education on the theme of ‘Reflection on Jeonnam School Innovation and Future Directions,’ followed by a Q&A and discussion to explore ways for young teachers to find their roles in school innovation.

Additionally, Professor Kim Sung-chun of Korea National University of Education delivered a lecture titled ‘Future Education and Directions of School Innovation.’

Professor Kim presented various value education that future education must guarantee, the community aspect of education in the region, and the sustainability and direction of school innovation.

An elementary school teacher from Jangseong said, “I was able to share and be comforted by the difficulties and frustrations in the field, and I gained a broader perspective on school innovation and future education.” He added, “When I return to school, I will create a learning community to make a happy school by actively sharing practices with fellow teachers.”

Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education plans to seek activation of regional networks connecting teachers in the field based on the opinions and suggestions of the young teachers who attended this workshop.
