THQ Begins Shipping New Season Products of MZ Generation Fashion Brand to Hainan Duty-Free Shop in China

With the peak season in October approaching, an increase in sales volume of THQ's Hainan duty-free business is expected through the arrival of new autumn and winter season products from existing casual fashion brands already established in the store.

Kirsh and 5252 BY OIOI are casual fashion brands targeting the 2030 MZ generation. The fashion distribution landscape is rapidly changing centered around the MZ generation. Emerging street casual brands like Kirsh and 5252 BY OIOI are gaining attention as they enter offline markets.

Kirsh and 5252 BY OIOI, which have secured their positions and grown through online channels, are actively expanding their offline distribution networks and entering overseas markets. In particular, they recently entered the China market for the first time by being stocked at the Haiyou Duty-Free Shop through THQ, expanding their sales channels to local Chinese duty-free stores.

THQ has actively attracted clothing brands popular among the younger generation to the China Haiyou Duty-Free Shop and has completed preparations for the largest Chinese consumption season in October by fully stocking seasonal products.

A company official stated, “Following the Chinese government's intention to develop Hainan Province as the center of the duty-free industry, the demand for domestic brands to enter Hainan duty-free shops is increasing,” adding, “Accordingly, THQ is currently negotiating supply agreements with various brands in addition to the 23 brands it has already attracted.”

He added, “With the consumption peak season ahead and the expectation of expanded revenge spending, we anticipate achieving visible results in the Hainan duty-free business by the end of the year.”
