[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chunhan] GS25 announced on the 28th that it held the 27th Young Marketer inauguration ceremony on the metaverse platform 'Gather Town.'
The Young Marketer program has been conducted by GS25 since 2006 to provide university students aspiring to become future marketing experts with various marketing activity opportunities, and to lead trends in product development and marketing planning through active communication with the MZ generation (Millennials + Generation Z).
This year's Young Marketer selection interview process was conducted via non-face-to-face video conferencing. The inauguration ceremony was also held on the metaverse platform 'Gather Town,' where participants accessed with their own avatars and engaged in activities such as ▲appointment certificate awarding ▲O/X quiz, Catch Mind game ▲group meetings ▲group photo sessions ▲and other activities.
The Young Marketer participants will form teams of five members each until December and carry out various activities such as producing product introduction videos, planning Christmas promotions, experiencing the GS25 quick commerce platform, and planning participatory content.
Oh Jinseok, Head of GS25 Convenience Store Business Division (Vice President), said, “The growth of non-face-to-face trends and digital environments in the COVID-19 era has become an indispensable reason for utilizing metaverse platforms in the distribution market. Going forward, we will conduct various marketing activities on the metaverse platform and strengthen communication with customers in new ways that have never been experienced before.”
