[Asia Economy Reporter Yoon Seul-gi] Yoon Seok-yeol, the presidential pre-candidate of the People Power Party, raised his voice regarding the preferential treatment allegations in Daejang-dong, Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, stating, "The mastermind behind the Daejang-dong gate is Lee Jae-myung."

On the afternoon of the 27th, Yoon posted on his Facebook, saying, "At the National Assembly press conference on September 14th, Governor Lee Jae-myung confessed with his own mouth that he was the architect of Daejang-dong, and it was broadcast nationwide."

He continued, "Nevertheless, the essence of the Daejang-dong Asura gate is being distorted and altered. Like masters of covering up, they try to hide the mastermind of the gate by shaking the tail as bait," adding, "But anyone can see that the mastermind of the Daejang-dong gate is Lee Jae-myung. He appeared on broadcast and confessed to being the 'architect,' and there is clear evidence signed by him. How can one cover the sky with the palm of their hand?"

Yoon stated, "First, the core and starting point is the public development forcibly acquiring land by undervaluing the land price, causing damage to the landowners, and then selling it at a high price by evading the price ceiling system, causing damage to the buyers, which is a breach of trust crime worth billions of won. This crime was already decided at the 'design' stage," and pointed out, "Such cases are usually difficult to investigate beyond scapegoating at the working level, but since he himself appeared on broadcast and said he was the architect, scapegoating is not possible. Moreover, Daejang-dong is not the first case; it is the same method as in Wirye District, so the intent is clear."

Yoon also said, "Crimes involving lobbying to political and government circles to cover up the criminal acts must be investigated," adding, "At this opportunity, regardless of party lines, all involved should be thoroughly rooted out and severely punished."

Finally, Yoon said, "If a proper investigation team has the will to investigate, this crime can all be revealed, and many parts have already been uncovered through media coverage."
