15 Key Figures from Jeong Se-gyun's Busan Camp Declare Support for Lee Nak-yeon

[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Ju-yeon] Key figures from former Prime Minister Chung Sye-kyun's Busan camp, who withdrew from the Democratic Party presidential primary, have declared their support for former party leader Lee Nak-yeon. They are expected to join Lee's Busan regional campaign in the near future.

On the 27th, 15 individuals including Park Jong-wook, Chairperson of Busan Yeonje District Council, and Lee Seok-hee, Chairperson of Seo District Council, announced their support for Lee through a declaration. In the statement, they said, "We, who united at former candidate Chung Sye-kyun's Future Economy Camp Busan Headquarters to overcome division and conflict in the Republic of Korea and practice unity, now support candidate Lee Nak-yeon, who possesses morality, expansiveness, and futurity."

They also stated, "We are confident that only Lee Nak-yeon, the candidate for national unity who opened a new future for the Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam region through the realization of Gaduk New Airport, will thoroughly inherit candidate Chung Sye-kyun's will for the unification of the Republic of Korea," and emphasized, "Although we are some members of the Future Economy Camp Busan Headquarters, we promise to participate in the upcoming primary process together with candidate Lee Nak-yeon."

Following this declaration of support, they are expected to join the Lee Nak-yeon campaign organization soon. The Lee Nak-yeon camp expressed expectations that their joining will greatly strengthen the spread of support in the Busan region.
