[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Gyeongnam Gyeongsang National University held the '2021 Employee (Department) of the Month' awards ceremony on the morning of the 27th at the Chilam Campus reception room.

At the ceremony, Teaching Assistant Jeong Sun-im of the Department of Aerospace and Software Engineering, Designer Lee Hee-eun of the Publishing Department, the Graduate School's Je1haeng Jeongsil, and the University Education Innovation Headquarters each received the President's Commendation.

Jeong Sun-im has diligently performed as the administrative general manager of the nation's only 'National University Student Homemade Aircraft Competition' since 2000, and actively practiced administration, receiving the Competition Operations Committee Chairperson's Commendation at the 20th competition.

Lee Hee-eun, as a designer in the Publishing Department, was selected for the 2019 Korea Regional Publishing Grand Prize (Grand Prize) and the 2019 Excellent Book of the Year by the Korea University Publishing Association.

Je1haeng Jeongsil (Graduate School) established the foundation for a continuous research-oriented graduate school by achieving a 100% enrollment rate for new students in the 2021 academic year. Additionally, eight research groups (teams) were selected for the 4th phase BK21 project and the Graduate School Innovation Support Project, receiving 8.8 billion KRW in support over seven years.

The University Education Innovation Headquarters created a complex cultural space where students can study and relax simultaneously by opening the 'USG Shared University Student Lounge,' significantly improving the students' academic environment.

President Kwon Soon-gi emphasized at the ceremony, "I hope all faculty and staff will raise the quality of Gyeongsang National University's educational services with a sense of responsibility and mission. In particular, by eliminating boundaries between departments and discovering and commending staff who strive for the university's development, we will boost morale."
