[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Cho Hyung-joo] Gwangju University (President Kim Hyuk-jong) announced on the 27th that Dr. Jung Ji-won (33), who earned a doctorate in the Department of Beauty and Cosmetology, was selected as the ‘2021 Humanities and Social Sciences Research Professor (Type B).’
Dr. Jung’s research project is titled ‘A Comparative Analysis of Marketing Strategies Using Beauty Influencers in Korea and the United States,’ and the research period is one year from September 1, 2021, to August 30, 2022.
Dr. Jung graduated from the doctoral program in Makeup in the Department of Beauty and Cosmetology at Gwangju University Graduate School in 2018 and worked as a freelance makeup artist participating in events such as the ‘Zombie Festival in LA’ and ‘Womens EXPO in LA’ in the United States.
At Gwangju University Graduate School, she participated as a researcher in a project under her advisor’s Korea Research Foundation Young Researcher Support Program titled ‘A Study on the Development of Special Effects Makeup Curriculum at Four-Year Universities in Korea.’
Meanwhile, the Department of Beauty and Cosmetology at Gwangju University plans to continuously guide doctoral graduates to apply for and be selected in various research projects supported by the Korea Research Foundation.
