Geoje City Supports Activation of Preliminary Social Enterprises through City Bus Advertisements Geoje City, Gyeongnam Province, will display content related to social enterprises on city buses within the jurisdiction.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] Geoje City in Gyeongnam is helping to revitalize companies by displaying advertisements for nine local preliminary social enterprises on 22 city buses.


According to the city on the 27th, the advertisement was planned to promote the expansion of service and product sales channels of preliminary social enterprises newly designated since last September, and to raise awareness of the Geoje City Social Community Support Center, which supports the activation of the social economy.


A Geoje City official said, "We hope that the bus advertisements for preliminary social enterprises, which citizens can easily see not only while using public transportation but also on foot, will serve as an opportunity to spread interest and awareness about the social economy."


As of September, Geoje City has 21 (preliminary) social enterprises operating with the purpose of realizing social value, including Hanomel, Ttobagi Home Technology Center, Coffee Society, Blue City Orchestra, Gyeongnam Charter Bus Cooperative, Geoje Marine Sports, Geoje Island Seaweed and Mugwort Agricultural Cooperative Corporation, The Barum, and Sumbi English Cooperative Corporation, which are participating in bus advertisements.
