[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jonghwa] One-page collaboration tool Kollabee announced that it has successfully raised 3 billion KRW in Series A funding.
This investment involved major investors such as Shinhan Financial Group (Gentium Partners), SB Partners, and Openwater Investment. Although the Series A round has been completed with this funding, Kollabee is conducting additional IR as there are investors interested in further investment.
Kollabee has been maintaining growth recently amid the untact era and the acceleration of digital transformation.
This is because all work processes are contained within one page, making history management easy, and its simple UX allows anyone to use it smoothly. In particular, as the only one-page collaboration tool in Korea offering an on-premise/private SaaS deployment, it also addresses security concerns of large corporations.
As a result, not only small and medium-sized enterprises requiring collaboration but also large corporations are flooding with adoption requests. The success of this Series A funding can be seen as a case recognizing document-based collaboration tools as playing an important role in the digital transformation era.
Hyunjun Park, CEO of Gentium Partners, said, "As the speed of digital transformation accelerates, Kollabee is structured to inevitably grow," adding, "Companies have concluded that it is impossible to improve work productivity with simple messengers, and the demand for document-based one-page collaboration tools is increasing. The Kollabee team is the most advanced player in that market."
Yongsang Cho, CEO of the Kollabee team, stated, "Amid the rapidly increasing market demand for document-based collaboration tools represented by Notion, please look forward to the growth of Kollabee, a document-based collaboration tool where all data is connected to solve project management and schedule management at once," adding, "We plan to develop technology that digitizes intangible work processes to create new collaboration methods unique to Kollabee, such as work automation systems and performance quantification systems."
