Wanju Industrial Complex Rated 'Best' in Public Waterworks Operation

Management Evaluation Report Rises Three Levels... Excelling in Water Quality Management and Administrative Services

[Wanju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Han-ho] Wanju County announced on the 24th that the Wanju Industrial Complex Waterworks Public Corporation received the highest grade in the 2021 Local Public Enterprise Management Evaluation conducted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.

The highest grade is awarded to only 8 out of 113 basic waterworks nationwide, and the Wanju Industrial Complex Waterworks Public Corporation rose three levels compared to the previous evaluation.

In the document and on-site evaluations of three areas: sustainable management, management performance, and social value, the Wanju Industrial Complex Waterworks Public Corporation scored 90.02 points, exceeding the national average of 86.79 out of 100 points.

In particular, it received high ratings for water quality management and stable water supply due to improvements in water quality measurement devices and chemical injection facilities, as well as waterworks administrative services aimed at customer satisfaction.

Additionally, in the sustainable management category, it earned high marks for management efficiency through cost reduction such as increased power efficiency; in the management performance category, for improving water service rates and emergency repair services for leakage accidents; and in the social value category, for disaster safety management.
