Targeting a total of 5,480 km across 4,986 bicycle road routes in the province
[Asia Economy Reporter La Young-cheol] Gyeonggi Province is conducting a joint safety inspection of bicycle roads with city and county governments until the 29th of next month, in response to the increase in bicycle use during the autumn season.
According to the province on the 24th, the joint safety inspection will cover a total of 5,480 km across 4,986 bicycle road routes within the province, including the Hangang National Bicycle Route, Bukhangang Bicycle Route, and Namhangang Bicycle Route.
The inspection will focus on ▲ damage to bicycle roads ▲ installation status of bicycle safety signs ▲ damage to surface drainage facilities and structures (bridges, decks, etc.) ▲ management status of the National Bicycle Route Certification Centers.
If simple abnormalities are found, immediate improvements will be made through the relevant bicycle road management authorities, and for issues requiring follow-up measures, maintenance plans will be established and implemented by each bicycle road management authority.
