[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] Hana Bank announced on the 24th that it has donated 130 million KRW to the Korean Red Cross Incheon Metropolitan City Chapter for the purchase of a disaster relief mobile meal service vehicle.

The donation ceremony held at Incheon City Hall the previous day was attended by Hana Bank President Seongho Park, Incheon Mayor Namchun Park, Chairman Changnam Kim of the Korean Red Cross Incheon Metropolitan City Chapter, Secretary General Sanggyun Kim of the Community Chest of Korea, and Chairman Sangbeom Jo of the Incheon Community Chest of Korea.

The disaster relief mobile meal service vehicle, which Hana Bank decided to support through a designated donation to the Community Chest of Korea for the Korean Red Cross Incheon Metropolitan City Chapter, is equipped to quickly provide up to 450 meals at once. In addition to cooking equipment, it is also equipped with facilities such as an electric sterilization dryer, refrigerator, and its own generator, enabling rapid execution of various relief activities.

The Korean Red Cross Incheon Metropolitan City Chapter previously owned one mobile meal service vehicle, but due to long-term use of over 10 years, equipment aging and frequent breakdowns made it difficult to carry out swift and smooth relief activities in various disaster situations.

President Park said, “Through this support of the disaster relief mobile meal service vehicle, I hope that the Korean Red Cross’s various humanitarian relief activities can be carried out more smoothly. I also hope that this will convey a small but warm message of encouragement to the marginalized neighbors facing difficulties and the volunteers helping them.”
