[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] "Huawei's mission is to support the digitalization of every person, home, and organization for a fully connected intelligent world and to help the digital transformation of all industries."
Eric Xu, Huawei's Rotating Chairman, stated this during his keynote speech titled "Relentless Innovation for Faster Digitalization" at the annual flagship event for the global ICT industry, "HUAWEI CONNECT 2021," held on the 23rd in Shanghai, China.
Under the theme "Dive to Digital," this year's event showcased how digital technologies can be integrated with business scenarios and industry expertise to address current challenges. It also discussed ways to effectively build an open industry ecosystem with various stakeholders and achieve shared success.
Eric Xu said, "For digital technology to remain useful, continuous innovation and value creation are necessary, among which cloud, artificial intelligence (AI), and networks are the most important digital technologies. Huawei has achieved outstanding results in each of these areas and is contributing to low-carbon development and the advancement of industries as a whole."
He continued, "Huawei Cloud, launched four years ago, already has over 2.3 million developers, more than 14,000 consulting partners, and 6,000 technology partners. Additionally, over 4,500 services are available on the Huawei Cloud Marketplace. Huawei Cloud has become a crucial platform supporting the digitalization of both enterprises and governments," he explained.
On this day, Huawei also announced the launch of UCS (Ubiquitous Cloud-native Service), the industry's first distributed cloud-native service, which is available on Huawei Cloud. Through UCS, Huawei plans to enable enterprises to use cloud-native applications without being constrained by physical distance, cloud environments, or traffic limitations, thereby promoting digital innovation across all industries.
Eric Xu also introduced Huawei's innovations in the network domain. Huawei has been innovating solutions for global networks based on Autonomous Driving Network (ADN). Collaborating with customers in finance, education, and healthcare sectors, Huawei has developed, implemented, and optimized new applications to advance the Autonomous Driving Network.
Furthermore, as part of global efforts to maximize carbon dioxide emission reduction and carbon neutrality, Huawei is committed to developing digital technologies that support low-carbon development.
Eric Xu stated, "Digitalization has been possible thanks to Huawei's relentless innovation. Moving forward, continuous innovation must underpin achieving more goals and building a better future."
