The Hana Financial Group Championship organizing committee announced on the 23rd, "Minjee Lee, Lydia Ko (New Zealand), and Noh Ye-rim (USA) will participate in this year's tournament." It will be held from the 30th at Adonis Golf Course in Pocheon, Gyeonggi Province. It is part of the Ladies Asian Tour (LAT) series. This is the second tournament held this year following the DB Group Korea Women's Open in June. Minjee Lee became a 'major queen' for the first time in her career at the LPGA Tour Evian Championship in July.
Lydia Ko is a bronze medalist at the Tokyo Olympics. She has won 16 tournaments in total, including two majors, such as the Lotte Championship in April. The 20-year-old rookie Noh Ye-rim is a player with experience including a 3rd place finish at the Evian Championship and participation in the Solheim Cup. The total prize money for this year's Hana Financial Group Championship is 1.5 billion KRW. Participating players will donate 1% of the total prize money, and Hana Financial Group will match the same amount, raising a total of 30 million KRW in donations to support vulnerable groups.
