Diverse Experiences Including Sweet Potato Harvesting and Rice Cake Making

[Muan=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Oh Hwanju] Muan County, Jeonnam (Governor Kim San) is recruiting families to participate in the second half of the 9th annual Youth Weekend Experience Program with Families this year.
According to the county on the 23rd, this program, conducted to efficiently utilize leisure time and establish a family-centered leisure culture, consists of various attractions and experiential activities.
The main experiential activities include ▲ October 16: Sweet potato harvesting, woodworking and rattan craft (Palbangmiin Village), ▲ October 23: Daebong persimmon picking, rice cake cake making (Wolseon-ri Artist Village), ▲ November 3: Sesame oil pressing, mosit leaf rice cake making (Herbal Hanok Village), ▲ November 13: Ranch experience and cheese making (Pado Ranch), ▲ November 20: Lotus root tofu making and barista experience (Tove Academy).
This experiential program, held over five sessions, will be conducted with small groups of about 20 people per session while adhering to COVID-19 quarantine guidelines.
The application period is from the 27th of this month to the 6th of next month, and families with children from 2nd grade elementary school to middle school students will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
Those wishing to apply can download the application form from the county website, fill it out, and submit the related documents according to the provided submission methods (in-person submission, email submission, fax submission).
Governor Kim San said, “I hope local youth will feel family love through this experiential activity and grow into admirable individuals,” adding, “We will continue to develop various programs that strengthen family functions so that more local residents can enjoy leisure activities.”
Meanwhile, this program will be operated strictly following COVID-19 quarantine guidelines and may be canceled if social distancing levels are raised.
