Opening of Chungbuk National University Animal Hospital in Sejong... Realizing Advanced Country-Style Specialized Medical Care

[Asia Economy (Sejong) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Chungbuk National University Animal Hospital is opening and starting medical services in Sejong.

Sejong City announced on the 23rd that the opening ceremony of Chungbuk National University Sejong Animal Hospital will be held at the Taeyang Building located in Daepyeong-dong.

Chungbuk National University Sejong Animal Hospital is equipped with facilities such as examination rooms, treatment rooms, pharmacy, CT room, operating room, and ultrasound diagnostic room, as well as over 50 types of advanced diagnostic equipment including gas anesthesia machines, surgical equipment, and ophthalmic examination devices.

Additionally, about 40 specialized medical personnel including veterinary doctors, clinical pathologists, and animal caretakers are stationed to provide services in surgery, ophthalmology, dermatology, radiology, and diagnose animal diseases rapidly using molecular biological techniques.

Sejong City expects Chungbuk National University Sejong Animal Hospital to become a tertiary medical institution utilizing advanced diagnostic equipment and technologies, implementing advanced specialized medical services for pet-owning households in the area.

Lee Chun-hee, Mayor of Sejong City, said, “With the opening of Chungbuk National University Sejong Animal Hospital, pet-owning households in the area will be able to receive medical services without disruption,” and promised administrative support for the joint campus of Chungbuk National University College of Veterinary Medicine.
