"Fighting on Behalf of Girlfriends"... Men Arrested for Assault and Wielding Weapons Against Each Other

[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-yoon] Men who fought each other and wielded weapons after stepping in to fight on behalf of their girlfriends were arrested by the police.

The Jungnang Police Station in Seoul announced on the 22nd that they have requested an arrest warrant for a man in his 40s, Mr. A, who is suspected of injuring another man with a weapon (attempted murder).

According to the police, Mr. A (47) is accused of stabbing a man in his 40s, Mr. B, in eight places including the side and thigh with a weapon around 1:20 a.m. the previous day on a street in Jungnang-gu, Seoul.

It was reported that they came out to fight after seeing their girlfriends arguing over the phone. Mr. A surrendered to the police immediately after the crime and was arrested at the scene. Mr. B was also booked on charges of assaulting Mr. A, but is not in a critical condition.
