At Hickam Air Force Base in Honolulu, Hawaii, David Ige, Governor of Hawaii, and his spouse, John Aquilino, Commander of the Indo-Pacific Command, and his spouse, Chris Del Corso, Acting Ambassador of the United States to Korea, and his spouse, Paul LaCamera, Commander of the United States Forces Korea and United Nations Command, and his spouse, among others, came out to welcome President Moon.

President Moon received a lei (flower necklace) presented by Governor Ige and his spouse, exchanged greetings, and then left the airport by vehicle.


On the 22nd (local time), President Moon is scheduled to complete his final events in the United States, including the Independence Merit Medal awarding ceremony and the Korea-US remains mutual transfer ceremony, and is expected to arrive in Korea on the 23rd.
