Hong Jun-pyo's Sharp Remark: "Lee Jae-myung, Once Mocked as 'Yoon Sip-won,' Could Become 'Lee Il-won'"

[Asia Economy Reporter Kwon Seoyoung] Hong Joon-pyo, a presidential candidate from the People Power Party, raised his voice in criticism of Lee Jae-myung, the Democratic Party presidential candidate and Governor of Gyeonggi Province, regarding Lee's response to the so-called 'Seongnam City Daejang-dong Development Project Suspicion.'

Today (20th), Hong posted on his Facebook, "Some people have gone to prison after loudly claiming they never caused even 10 won of damage, while others are stretching out their legs claiming they never received even 1 won." This is interpreted as targeting Lee's statement about the Daejang-dong Hwacheon Daeyu controversy, where he said, "If I received even 1 won, I will resign as a candidate and public official."

Hong also added, "Mocking and jeering with 'Yoon ten won' like that, you might end up becoming 'Lee one won' yourself." This appears to also criticize former Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-youl, a People Power Party presidential candidate, who previously explained the 'mother-in-law incident' by saying, "I have never caused even a single 10 won damage."

Additionally, Hong directly accused Lee, saying, "Even though there is a reverse accusation show going on, can such shamelessness cover it up?" and "No matter what anyone says, the core of the Daejang-dong corruption is you, the one who pushed it forward." He continued, "If you are innocent, request a special prosecutor at the National Assembly yourself before more evidence is destroyed," and added, "These days, those involved are probably busy destroying evidence."

On this day, Hong concluded his post by criticizing the prosecution's response, saying, "Even though such a major corruption scandal has erupted, the prosecution, which is just watching and waiting, is a really strange organization."
