Compared to the same time frame the previous day (18th), this is 89 fewer than 578 cases. It is also 74 more than 504 cases reported a week ago (12th). The total number of confirmed cases for the entire day was 742 on the 18th and 556 on the 12th.
The daily number of confirmed cases in Seoul recorded the high 600s from the 7th to the 11th of this month, then reached a record high of 808 on the 14th. Since then, the numbers have remained in the 700s for four consecutive days: 719 on the 15th, 746 on the 16th, 703 on the 17th, and 742 on the 18th.
As of 6:00 PM on this day, additional cases from major cluster infections included 28 at Garak Market in Songpa-gu, 19 at a market in Jung-gu, 2 at an indoor sports facility in Songpa-gu, and 2 at a kindergarten in Nowon-gu. Additionally, 17 cases were confirmed from other cluster infections.
The cumulative number of confirmed cases at Garak Market in Songpa-gu reached 307 according to Seoul standards.
Among new confirmed cases not managed as cluster infections, 227 cases were confirmed to have contact with previously confirmed patients, and 189 cases with unclear infection routes are under investigation.
As of 6:00 PM on the 19th, the cumulative number of COVID-19 confirmed cases in Seoul was preliminarily counted at 91,762. One additional death was reported, bringing the total to 618.
