According to Korea Expressway Corporation, as of 9:30 a.m. on this day, congestion is occurring on the Gyeongbu Expressway toward Busan, including an 8 km section near Namsa from Dongtan Junction, a section near Manghyang Rest Area, and a 28 km section near Oksan Junction.
On the Seohaean Expressway toward Mokpo, vehicles are repeatedly stopping and going over an 11 km section from Seopyeongtaek Junction to Seohae Bridge. The Yeongdong Expressway toward Gangneung is congested over a 10 km section from near Maseong Tunnel to near Yangji Tunnel. On the Jungbu Expressway toward Namyi, congestion is occurring over a 2 km section near Dongseoul Tollgate to Sangok Junction and an 11 km section from Majang Rest Area to Namicheon IC.
The Expressway Corporation expects traffic toward returning home to peak between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. and to ease around 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. As of 10 a.m. today, it is estimated that it will take 5 hours and 10 minutes by passenger car from Seoul Tollgate to Busan, 4 hours and 10 minutes to Daegu, 3 hours and 40 minutes to Gwangju, 2 hours and 20 minutes to Daejeon, and 2 hours and 50 minutes to Gangneung.
