After receiving a report on the holiday emergency duty situation at the Gyeongsangbuk-do Comprehensive Situation Room, Governor Lee said, “Let’s thoroughly check the safety situation so that residents, who are struggling due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic and economic recession, can have a good Chuseok.”

The Gyeongsangbuk-do Comprehensive Situation Room operates with 10 teams by sector (Comprehensive Situation Team, COVID-19 Response Team, Emergency Medical Measures Team, Disaster Management Team, Fire Rescue and First Aid Team, Traffic and Transportation Measures Team, Road Management Team, Livestock Infectious Disease Measures Team, Environmental Management Team, and Water Supply Management Team).

A total of 110 personnel maintain an emergency duty posture, with 22 people on duty each day.

Governor Lee then visited the Gyeongsangbuk-do Fire Headquarters, which has entered special Chuseok alert duty, to encourage the firefighters.

He urged, “Please thoroughly prepare for fire prevention in multi-use facilities including traditional markets and various safety accidents, and respond promptly in case of emergency rescue and first aid situations.”

As part of a morale-boosting event, he presided over the ‘New Wind Happiness Bus Andong City On-site Meeting’ and visited the smart farm hemp cultivation complex in Imha-myeon, Andong City, taking care of livelihood sites amid the contraction caused by COVID-19.
