Woori Financial Group Selects 14 Startups for 'DinoLab Integrated 2.5th Cohort'


[Asia Economy Reporter Jin-ho Kim] Woori Financial Group announced on the 17th that it has selected 14 companies for the integrated 2.5th batch of the startup collaboration program ‘Dino Lab’.


A total of 208 startups applied for the integrated 2.5th batch of Dino Lab. After evaluation by a panel of 11 internal and external experts, including Woori Financial Group’s field practitioners, venture capitalists, and representatives from global IT companies, 14 companies were selected.


The integrated 2.5th batch of Dino Lab startups were selected across five sectors. Beyond traditional fintech, they plan to seek collaboration with startups in various fields such as AI (Artificial Intelligence), ESG (Environment, Social, and Governance), Mobility, Digital/Platform, and Healthcare.


The final selected companies will receive support starting next month for one year, including the opportunity to move into the Dino Lab 2nd Center, as well as ▲independent office space ▲financial IT education from Woori Financial Group’s IT practitioners ▲capacity-building programs from external experts such as venture capitalists, tax accountants, and professional marketers ▲investment attraction and commercialization ▲entry into the New Southern Market through Dino Lab Vietnam ▲business cooperation with Woori Financial Group subsidiaries.


The Dino Lab 2nd Center, scheduled to open in Sillim-dong, Gwanak-gu, Seoul, is a five-story building with approximately 270 pyeong (890 square meters), where Dino Lab companies will have exclusive use of the entire building.


A Woori Financial Group official stated, “We have established a foundation to collaborate with companies in new industrial sectors beyond finance, and we have high expectations. Through specialized centers, including two domestic centers and the Vietnam center supporting overseas expansion, we will actively collaborate with startups in various fields and provide generous support.”
