Since 2011, Leaving Behind Rice and Fruits...
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Yoon Jamin] An anonymous philanthropist who has been leaving sponsorship items at the Administrative Welfare Center around the holidays for 11 years continued their good deeds without fail this year as well.
According to Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City on the 17th, an anonymous donor known as the ‘Faceless Angel’ of Hanam-dong left 50 boxes of apples and pears in front of the Dong Administrative Welfare Center early that morning.
The philanthropist’s donations began before the Lunar New Year holiday in 2011.
After leaving 35 bags of 20kg rice, they have every year anonymously left sponsorship items such as fruit, rice, and rice cakes around the holidays.
The total number of donations has reached 20 times to date.
Kim Jang-ho, chairman of the Hanam-dong Community Security Council, said, “We are grateful that even in the difficult situation caused by COVID-19, the donor did not forget to extend a helping hand of sharing this year as well.”
Meanwhile, in Hanam-dong, warmth to share affection with neighbors continued ahead of the Chuseok holiday. This year, the Hanam Lions Club sponsored 40 sets of daily necessities and masks, and the Hanam-dong Community Security Council sponsored 50 holiday gift sets. Hanam-dong plans to deliver the sponsored items to neighbors in need.
