[Asia Economy Reporter Han Seung-gon] A wife’s petition pleading "Please save my husband" has been posted, stating that her husband lost lung, liver, and kidney functions after receiving the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine and is now dependent on a ventilator in the intensive care unit.

On the 15th, a petition titled "Please save my husband, the head of our seven-member family, who lost lung, liver, and kidney functions after vaccination" was posted on the Blue House National Petition Board.

The petitioner said, "My husband has lived diligently as the father of four children and the son of a nonagenarian mother. He has been fulfilling his responsibilities as the head of the family by working hard here and there," and appealed, "Please save my husband, the head of our seven-member family."

According to the petitioner, her husband spent two weeks without any particular symptoms after receiving the Pfizer vaccine on the 17th of last month. However, around 3 p.m. on the 2nd, after returning from work, he complained of lethargy and stiffness in his neck, visited an orthopedic clinic, and received injections and treatment.

However, the next day, on the 3rd, he experienced swelling and difficulty breathing and was transported to the hospital emergency room. The hospital diagnosed that his kidneys and liver were severely damaged and that fluid had accumulated in his lungs, and he was immediately admitted to the intensive care unit.

The petitioner said, "(He) was admitted to the intensive care unit immediately. He is currently dependent on a ventilator due to sepsis treatment," adding, "Although his liver was not in a severe condition, he had been consistently taking liver function supplements."

She continued, "Fluid has accumulated in his lungs, and his kidneys suddenly failed completely, so he is currently undergoing hemodialysis. His liver enzyme levels are high, and he may need a liver transplant due to cirrhosis. His legs are covered with blisters, requiring more than three pads to be changed daily," and said, "All these symptoms suddenly appeared after he received the vaccine."

The petitioner said, "The hospital still does not know whether it is due to the vaccine or another cause," and added, "My husband, the head of our seven-member family, is like a friend to the children and a loving son to his mother. Please save my husband, the father of our four children."
