"Buy Chuseok Ancestral Rite Supplies"... Market Kurly 10% Cheaper Than Large Supermarkets Market Kurly will hold a special exhibition of agricultural, livestock, and marine products until the 22nd.

[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Market Kurly announced on the 17th that, ahead of Chuseok, it compared the prices of 26 major ceremonial items with those of large supermarkets and found that its prices are 10% cheaper.


According to a price comparison survey conducted by the Small Enterprise and Market Service from the 1st to the 3rd, targeting 37 traditional markets and nearby large supermarkets for 27 Chuseok ceremonial items, the cost of purchasing all 26 ceremonial items at large supermarkets was found to be 343,752 KRW. Purchasing the same items from Market Kurly costs 310,435 KRW, which is analyzed to be 10% cheaper than the large supermarket purchase cost.


The product categories with the largest price differences between Market Kurly and large supermarkets were meat and vegetables. When purchasing beef, pork, chicken, and other meats from Market Kurly, the required cost was found to be 24% lower compared to large supermarkets. For vegetables, Market Kurly was 23% cheaper than large supermarkets.


Market Kurly is holding a special event for agricultural, livestock, and marine products until the 22nd. This event offers various products such as Korean beef (Hanwoo), beef bone soup (Sagol), dried yellow corvina (Gulbi), squid, apples, grapes, and perilla oil at discounts of up to 25%. During the event period, separate coupons providing an additional 20% discount are offered for three product categories: meat, seafood, and fruits & vegetables.


Market Kurly will also operate its Saetbyeol delivery service during the Chuseok holiday period. Orders completed by 11 PM on the 20th will be delivered by 7 AM on Chuseok day.
