IT Tipster Ice Universe Revealed
[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] Samsung Electronics is expected to unveil three tablet PCs in the Galaxy Tab S8 series, with foreign media reporting that the top model, the 'S8 Ultra,' is estimated to have a 14.6-inch screen. This is even larger than a typical 14-inch laptop.
IT specialist media GSM Arena cited a post by IT tipster Ice Universe on the 16th (local time), reporting that "the top model S8 Ultra will feature a 14.6-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate."
Ice Universe predicted that the S8 Ultra display will have a resolution of 2960x1848 pixels (16:10 aspect ratio). The battery is expected to be 11,500 milliampere-hours (mAh). mAh refers to the amount of current flowing in one hour.
The other lower versions of the S8 series are expected to include a standard model with an 11-inch LCD display, and the S8 Plus (+) model is anticipated to have a 12.4-inch OLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate.
GSM Arena analyzed that all three models will share the same charging method, with screen size, battery, and price serving as the distinguishing factors. Charging is expected to support 45 watts (W), similar to the upcoming smartphone 'Galaxy S22 Ultra.'
