Additional Support for 60 Complexes... 5 Million Won per Complex
[Asia Economy Reporter La Young-cheol] Gyeonggi Province announced on the 17th that it will expand the 'Apartment Security Workers Rest Facility Improvement Project' through the third supplementary budget this year, providing additional support to 60 apartment complexes.
The province decided to invest an additional budget of 350 million KRW secured through the third supplementary budget to support 60 more apartment complexes.
Each complex will receive 5 million KRW in project funds to support the renovation and repair of facilities such as sleeping rooms, shower rooms, and flooring, as well as the provision and replacement of outdated equipment including water purifiers, sofas, and air conditioners.
In April, over 610 complexes expressed their intention to participate through a public contest, and so far, a total budget of 700 million KRW has been invested to select 121 apartment complexes for the project.
The additional application period is from today until October 24, and a review committee composed of external experts will comprehensively evaluate the feasibility of project execution, improvement effects, and willingness to improve to select the support targets.
Lee Tae-jin, Director of Labor Rights, stated, "We will continue to promote the rest facility improvement project by strengthening cooperation with city and county governments so that workers in apartment complexes can rest in a comfortable environment."
