[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] Gyeongsangnam-do is conducting the 'Stop Lalaland Gyeongnam!' campaign as part of the 'Pause for a Moment' campaign to prevent the spread of COVID-19 using the metaverse.

According to the province on the 16th, the 'Stop Lalaland Gyeongnam' campaign can be participated in by searching for 'Gyeongnam Provincial Government Metapark' on the metaverse platform 'Zepeto'.

The Metapark is designed to three-dimensionally reproduce the pond and roads inside the provincial government office, the main and annex buildings, and the Innovation Park, allowing participants to enjoy moving between the real world and the virtual world.

Additionally, there are six events prepared: finding seven 'Pause for a Moment' slogans, overcoming obstacles and going to a COVID-safe zone, sitting on the 'Pause for a Moment' chair, dancing together on stage, finding the Gyeongsangnam-do logo and taking photos, and attaching speech bubbles with the most difficult 'Pause for a Moment' moments in daily life.

Moreover, participants can freely enjoy activities not possible in daily life, such as riding an open car on the provincial government roads and gathering without masks to talk.

'Stop Lalaland' ironically encourages people not to stop but to fully enjoy life, despite the paused daily life in the real world.

This campaign carries the meaning of wishing for the well-being of residents who have paused their daily lives for a long time due to COVID-19 and overcoming the virus quickly through participation in the 'Pause for a Moment' campaign.

With the rapid increase in promotions and events using the metaverse in various public and private sectors, this campaign is expected to serve as a testing ground for the metaverse's potential as a new platform for participation and communication in Gyeongsangnam-do.

Residents who participate in Stop Lalaland, which runs until the 30th, will be rewarded with Zero Pay worth 10,000 to 30,000 KRW through selection of outstanding participants and a lottery.

More detailed information can be found on the official Gyeongsangnam-do website and the Gyeongnam 1st Street website.

Ok Se-jin, head of the Social Innovation Promotion Team of the province, said, "The campaign was planned with the hope that the spread of participation in 'Pause for a Moment' will provide comfort and vitality to residents exhausted by COVID-19," adding, "We will continue to create opportunities for resident participation and communication even in non-face-to-face situations through various attempts using the metaverse."
