[Asia Economy Reporter Yoon Seul-gi] Former Jeonbuk National University Department of Journalism and Broadcasting Honorary Professor Kang Jun-man criticized the attitude by saying "You need to have some decency," to which Lee Jun-seok, leader of the People Power Party, responded, "Has anyone ever told me I have decency?"

On the morning of the 16th, Lee appeared on MBC Radio's "Kim Jong-bae's Focus" and said, "I know well what concerns Professor Kang Jun-man has, and I have navigated my path for the past 10 years while receiving his advice."

Recently, Professor Kang mentioned the curse of success where freedom ultimately leads to failure in the second volume of the quarterly social critique journal THE People and Ideas, stating, "Before becoming party leader, Lee Jun-seok enjoyed immunity from decency, but now that is difficult, so he must have more decency."

In response, Lee said, "I have never met Professor Kang Jun-man personally," adding, "He is probably evaluating based on secondhand media content."

He continued, "Has anyone ever told me I have decency? People who say what others want to hear are considered decent, and when they hear things they don't want to, they say they lack decency. Haven't I endured that much while living?"

Meanwhile, this evening (the 16th), a TV debate between Lee and Song Young-gil, leader of the Democratic Party, is scheduled. The two leaders announced they will appear on MBC's Chuseok special debate program "Song Young-gil vs Lee Jun-seok: Reading Public Sentiment" at 9 p.m. and engage in a debate for about 100 minutes.
