Attracting 17 Companies to 4 Cities and Counties Including Cheonan, Chungnam... Total Investment of 422.9 Billion KRW

[Asia Economy (Hongseong) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Chungnam Province has attracted 17 companies to four cities and counties including Cheonan.


On the 15th, Chungnam Governor Yang Seung-jo and the heads of Cheonan, Gongju, Dangjin, and Hongseong signed a joint investment agreement with representatives of 17 companies.


The participating companies plan to establish or relocate production factories on a total site area of 308,742㎡ in five city and county industrial complexes and individual sites. The total investment amount by these companies is 422.9 billion KRW.


First, in Cheonan, dental implant company ‘Osstem Implant’ will settle in the Cheonan Technopark General Industrial Complex, and building interior and exterior materials company ‘Hamra Housing’ will establish a factory on an individual site of 32,817㎡ in Susin-myeon.


In the Cheonan Northern BIT General Industrial Complex, specialized pharmaceutical company ‘Allico Pharmaceutical’, pharmaceutical company ‘Hi-Pharm’, mobile phone camera company ‘D-Parm Tech’, cosmetics company ‘Jungwon Industry’, diagnostic reagent company ‘Boreda Biotech’, and semiconductor and automotive parts company ‘DK Tech’ will each build new factories.


Additionally, pharmaceutical company ‘Person’ plans to expand its factory in Cheonan Baekseok Agricultural and Industrial Complex, and frozen food company ‘Pureon’ will expand its factory in Pungse General Industrial Complex.


In Gongju, semiconductor material company ‘Deoksan Tecopia’ will establish a factory in Namgongju General Industrial Complex, and in Dangjin, compressor parts company ‘Taesan Rotatement’ and pile driver company ‘Shinui Petra’ will each establish new factories.


In Hongseong, automotive adhesive company ‘BK’ will set up a factory in Hongseong General Industrial Complex, and health food company ‘HMO Health Dream Agricultural Cooperative Corporation’ will newly establish a factory and research facility in Naepo New City Advanced Industrial Complex.


Additionally, optical fiber cable company ‘ES Tech International’ plans to relocate its factory from Suwon, Gyeonggi Province to Naepo New City Advanced Industrial Complex, and ‘MPR Blain’ will relocate from Goyang, Gyeonggi Province to an individual site in Geumma-myeon, Hongseong County.


The province expects that once these companies’ production facilities are fully operational, there will be a production effect of 378.1 billion KRW and a value-added effect of 101.9 billion KRW.
