Emergency Medical Treatment Measures at Public Health Centers, On-Duty Medical Institutions and Pharmacies
COVID-19 Screening Clinics Operating from 9 AM to 5 PM
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Sancheong-gun, Gyeongnam Province, is implementing a 'Comprehensive Chuseok Holiday Plan' to alleviate inconveniences and ensure safety for local residents during the Chuseok holiday.
The county will operate a comprehensive situation room from the 18th to the 22nd during the holiday period. The situation room consists of 8 task forces and town and township civil complaint task forces.
The comprehensive Chuseok holiday plan is divided into 11 detailed focus areas, including vehicle traffic and safety measures.
First, the county conducted safety inspections of disaster-vulnerable facilities and multi-use facilities to ensure a safe Chuseok holiday.
To create a quarantine-friendly holiday atmosphere, social distancing promotions and emergency duty shifts for responding to self-quarantine cases have been organized.
Additionally, to reduce the burden on the livelihood economy, which is facing greater difficulties due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, 16 key price management items will be continuously monitored.
In particular, to prevent the spread of COVID-19, vaccination before departure and diagnostic testing after return will be promoted for visitors to columbarium facilities and other sites.
To eliminate medical service gaps, an emergency medical treatment plan has been established, and screening clinics will operate from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. during the holiday period alongside quarantine measures.
Furthermore, emergency medical institutions and holiday duty pharmacies will be designated and operated, and joint inspections on hygiene at food manufacturing and sales businesses during the Lunar New Year season will be conducted.
A county official stated, “For this Chuseok holiday, we ask that visits to hometowns be made with the minimum number of people after completing vaccination or diagnostic testing for the safety of families,” adding, “Our county will also do its best to ensure a safe and comfortable holiday.”
