Jeju Fire Department Presents Plaque of Appreciation to Incheon 9th Airborne Brigade 55th Special Forces Battalion

[Jeju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Jeongpil] Jeju Fire Station (Chief Ko Jae-woo) announced on the 15th that it presented a plaque of appreciation for distinguished firefighting service to the ‘Incheon 9th Airborne Brigade 55th Special Forces Battalion,’ which actively assisted firefighting activities at a fire incident that occurred this month at a restaurant located in Yeondong.

The ‘Incheon 9th Airborne Brigade 55th Special Forces Battalion,’ while staying in Jeju for training, witnessed the fire at the restaurant in Yeondong around 10:40 a.m. on the 31st of last month and actively guided nearby residents to evacuate.

They also played a significant role in preventing further damage by assisting in setting up the fire line (safety control line) and controlling the access of vehicles and residents.

Chief Ko Jae-woo said, “Firefighting and the military cooperated organically at the fire scene to carry out firefighting activities,” and added, “We express our gratitude to the Incheon 9th Airborne Brigade 55th Special Forces Battalion for their active assistance for the safety of the residents.”
