VT GMP Obtains Chinese Sanitation Approval for New Product 'Proscica'

[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] VT GMP's cosmetics business brand VT Cosmetic announced on the 14th that four upgraded products in the ‘Pro-Cica’ line, enhanced with the proprietary ingredient ‘Cica Hyalo-Zen™’, have obtained hygiene approval from the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) of China.

China's hygiene approval is a mandatory procedure that must be obtained before officially distributing and selling products in the Chinese cosmetics market. It requires passing strict hygiene standards by submitting quality specification certificates, ingredient components, and human efficacy test data.

VT Cosmetic plans to strengthen the competitiveness and expand the market share of its flagship Cica cosmetics in China through acquiring NMPA hygiene approval for the ‘Pro-Cica’ line, which has been further enhanced with Cica DNA.

This hygiene approval covers four products in the Pro-Cica line: emulsion, serum, skin toner, and ampoule mask. The Pro-Cica line received favorable reviews from consumers following its first launch last month on VT Cosmetic’s official online store and at Shinsaegae Department Store’s beauty edit shop, Chicor.

The Pro-Cica line features ‘Cica Hyalo-Zen™’, which combines Centella Asiatica extract known for skin soothing with Cica DNA, and ‘Beta-Sitosterol’, effective for skin regeneration, providing hydration and calming effects simultaneously to sensitive and fatigued skin caused by prolonged mask-wearing.

VT Cosmetic stated, "To firmly maintain our position as a global leader in Cica products, we have prepared the differentiated Pro-Cica line. We will continue to introduce cosmetics with excellent product quality."

Meanwhile, on the 7th, VT Cosmetic confirmed the brand’s popularity by selling out 70,000 sets of Pro-Cica ampoule masks within 3 minutes during a live sales broadcast hosted by Viya, a leading Chinese influencer, ranking 4th in sales across all categories on Viya’s platform.
