Film Critic Lee Seungjae's Special Lecture 'Meeting Integrity in Movies' for Yongsan District Office Staff

Yongsan-gu to Hold Integrity Humanities Concert for Employees from 15th to 17th... Featuring Integrity Talk, Integrity Briefing, and Humanities Special Lecture... Also Showcasing Movie OST Popera Performance

Film Critic Lee Seungjae's Special Lecture 'Meeting Integrity in Movies' for Yongsan District Office Staff

[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Yongsan-gu (District Mayor Seongjang Hyun) will hold a "Integrity Humanities Concert" for three days from the 15th to the 17th to enhance the integrity sensitivity of public officials.

This is a non-face-to-face online education using a YouTube channel. The pre-recorded video filmed earlier this month will be broadcast more than five times during the period so that all employees can access it. The education can be attended via PC or smartphone.

The concert will be conducted for two hours in the order of integrity talk, integrity briefing, humanities special lecture, and Conflict of Interest Prevention Act education. In between, a pop opera performance of movie OSTs will also be presented.

The humanities special lecture will be given by film critic Seungjae Lee. Under the theme "Meeting Integrity in Movies," he will introduce ▲commonalities of Korean films chosen by over ten million viewers ▲the meaning of integrity through communication, empathy, and innovation ▲improving integrity through internal organizational communication and emotional empathy with civil petitioners ▲and innovation cases in the film industry such as director James Cameron.

A district official said, "This education was planned with the purpose of enhancing integrity sensitivity as enjoyably as possible," adding, "Along with high-quality lectures, attendees will be able to enjoy movie OSTs from National Team, Aladdin, Frozen, and more."

Besides the Integrity Concert, the district is conducting anti-corruption education for employees in various ways.

From March to August, over six months, the "Digital Integrity Self-Learning" was operated through pop-up windows in the Saeol Administrative System, and last month, the learning outcomes were confirmed through the "Challenge! Online Integrity Golden Bell" event.

During the same period, the district also operated the integrity communication channel "Integrity Radio." Every Wednesday before work starts, about three minutes of internal broadcasting was conducted, where employees shared and recorded their own integrity stories, proverbs, and integrity songs.

In June, the district attracted attention by conducting the nation's first integrity sensitivity CBTI (Clean Balance Type Indicator) test for employees. Similar to the psychological MBTI test, employees were classified into 16 types and customized behavioral plans were suggested.

The analysis results will be reflected in next year's district integrity policy projects and educational programs.

Yongsan District Mayor Seongjang Hyun said, "Integrity is the top virtue of public officials," and added, "We will continue to do our best to create an integrity city Yongsan that impresses residents."

Last year, the district received an overall grade 2 (the highest grade among autonomous districts nationwide) in the "Public Institution Integrity Evaluation" conducted by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission. This year, aiming for an overall grade 1, it is implementing four major strategies: ▲creating an honest public service culture ▲building anti-corruption integrity infrastructure ▲special inspections in vulnerable areas ▲and enhancing administrative transparency and reliability.
