Production Using Eco-Friendly Wood Materials
[Asia Economy Reporter Minwoo Lee] KB Securities is launching a check card targeting the MZ generation (Millennials + Generation Z) that offers subscription service discounts for platforms like Netflix and YouTube.
On the 13th, KB Securities announced the launch of the new 'Able Star Plus Card.' This product includes benefits such as discounts on digital content and mobile communication, as well as domestic stock coupons, catering to the rise of contactless consumption and increasing novice investors.
First, the card provides a 20% discount on digital content fees from six affiliated companies including Netflix, YouTube Premium, and Melon; a 5% discount on mobile communication fees (SKT, KT, LG U+); and a 5% discount at convenience stores (CU, GS25, 7-Eleven, Emart24). A monthly integrated discount limit of up to 15,000 KRW applies based on the previous month's usage, with a 5,000 KRW limit per category.
Additionally, a 5,000 KRW coupon usable for purchasing domestic stocks on KB Securities' Mobile Trading System (MTS) 'Marvel' and 'Marvel Mini' is provided (for previous month usage of 300,000 KRW or more).
Moreover, it is notable that KB Securities is the first securities company to use eco-friendly materials such as wood sheets and Ecozen sheets, which emit less carbon compared to plastic, as well as antibacterial films with 99.9% antibacterial effectiveness.
The card can be issued through KB Securities' Comprehensive Asset Management Account (CMA) or Comprehensive Brokerage Account (stock and fund trading accounts). Applications are available on the KB Securities website, the 'Marvel' application (app), or at KB Securities branches. To commemorate the launch of the Able Star Plus Card, KB Securities is running a promotion until the 15th of next month: if the card is issued and a single payment of 30,000 KRW or more is made by the 31st of the same month, 10,000 KRW will be refunded to the payment account.
Park Jung-rim, CEO of KB Securities, said, "The Able Star Plus Card not only offers specialized benefits for the MZ generation but also uses eco-friendly materials for the card plate to reduce carbon emissions."
